Someone on my Babyzone board posted this info from her midwife...
Between an ultrasound, a doctor/midwif'e's guess, and a mother's guess, the mother's guess about the baby's weight is usually the closest to the actual weight.
My guess for this one is somewhere between 8 lb 14 oz and 9 lb 2 oz. The doc guessed 9 lb yesterday. We'll see on Friday if we're right.
Were you right about your kids' weight?

Heck no. I carried small the 2nd time and he was over 9 lbs- 2.5 weeks early!
DD, I was young and gaind a shitload amount of weight, but I still would have never guessed for her to be over 9 lbs either.
Liam is 5!
I never guessed and my OB never guessed. Son was 8 lbs 9 ounces.
My midwife said based on the 36 week u/s they wouldn't let me go past 40 weeks. I did the math on what she says is the weight gain by week and my dd was slightly bigger than what she "should be" based on their averaging... she was 8 lbs 12 ounces at week 39.
I never guessed on any of them.
I thought she'd be around 8lbs and she was 8lbs15oz. My doctor thought she was 7 1/2lbs
