Hello. I thought I should intro here. DH and I are considering adoption. Today I submitted our "Adoption Survey" to the agency we are considering working with.
Our story, briefly. DH and I were married in late 2010 and have had 3 losses in the past 1 1/2 years. The drs. are unsure of the causes of the second two pregnancies. DH and I are currently still trying to conceive on our own but if we are unsuccessful by January 2013 then we will begin actively pursuing adoption. In the interim we have begun researching the adoption process and possible agencies in our area.
DH is adopted (as are his 2 sisters) and my 1/2 brother was adopted (to a different family) and he in turn has 3 adopted children of his own. So while I'm not completely familiar with the adoption process I am somewhat familiar with some of the social and interpersonal issues.
I hope to learn much more from you all and the resources you have provided. Thanks!
