Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Rec. your snow gear

This will be the first winter where B is truly mobile & will be interested in getting outdoors during the winter.  In addition to having something for home, we need to supply her daycare center with snow boots & a bib or snowsuit.  Any recommendations / things to avoid?  We're in the Chicago 'burbs.  Thanks in advance!

Re: Rec. your snow gear

  • I bought DD a one piece snowsuit/jacket from l.l.bean. It was awesome and totally worth it. Only thing was it was supposed to grow with her 2t4t and last winter she pretty much outgrew it... So be careful with sizing. We also had a cheap pair of bib snow pants from Walmart that worked just as well. I like the one piece because it kept her warmer and snow couldn't get in as many places. last winter we were in Boston, now we're in Texas and won't need snow gear

  • I did quite a bit of research and ended up with a Land's End Squall parka for DS. They're having a 40 off sale with free shipping on their website through tomorrow, I believe.

I heard great things about LL Bean and almost went with their Katahdin, but reviews say the zippers can be problematic. There is not an LL Bean nearby to return if I have problems, so I went with Land's End. I'm happy so far!
