Today was bad...follow up

Today was awful. First day at grandmas. lO came home- complete nipple confusion. She hardly wanted tosuck at all. I need help. I am not stopping BF at three months. I worked too hard. She didn't get better all evening. The only help I read online is that you can have a letdown and that makes them work less hard.

    I tried to explain to mom but she formula fed and barely remembered to keep her upright. My bottles are very slow flow. She s tired and hungry ( we nurse to sleep) and just got mad and passed out. She takes a bottled a day anyway with probiotics and would take three ounces. Well, grandma gave her three ounces four times in eight hours which I think is a little much so tomorrow I want to do two ounce bottles instead of three every two hours. And, yes, bottle preference not confusion. Sorry.

    Holy over-feeding, Grandma! 

    Yes, try 2oz bottles.

    And your LO was probably just thrown off by the day.  She can't develop a bottle preference in 8 hours.  Give it time.  Going back to work is a transition for everyone.
