So true. I'll probably post both places. I'm not sure I can kick my bump habit unless everyone came.
Back at the beginning when MamBoden was still terrorizing people I suggested making a board on yuku.com because you can make it private, it's customizable in terms of colors, having graphics to decorate it a bit etc. But I'm not one of the influential posters so I made the board but only a few people bothered to sign up and a different one was created (it might have been a proboard, I'm not sure). If there was some way to make the proboard private and screen people via their bump account before granting access I feel like it would make sense.
I really LOVE that idea. But something tells me it will be hard to convince people for MORE change. Even with this change it's going to take weeks for everyone to figure out WTF is going on/happened. Since not everyone comes on every day and what not.
Also I know it's been said a million times today but I will mention it again. The huge difference between here and there as far as trolls is the manner and timing in which trolls are dealt with. Mods are quicker and have more power to clean up the nasty stuff easily. Also Dragonfly mentioned something about EP address and being able to track down the creeps so I think it scares away most trolls.

It only makes sense to me to move if it is a private board. It's not like we would exclude people, we would just screen them here first. And it's not like I wanted to create it or run it so it's not about wanting power, someone else can do it or I can help them figure it out. But, honestly, yuku is where it's at.

But a private board eliminates the need for troll control. lol. It. makes. sense. I guess they had it in their heads that they liked proboards, but no one decided to look and see what the site I suggested offered.

I totally agree with you. I just don't see everyone jumping ship yet again in such a short time frame. It's a lot to ask from us stubborn mama's. Haha.
Maybe we can have a clicky poll here and on GBCN of "TB" "GBCN" or "Private Board" Then maybe we could further explore the idea if more people are interested.
I don't think actual threats were made. I think it was just implied. I could be mistaken though.
Oh and I'm just throwing this out there...if a private board were to be made say tonight I would join. Hopefully others would too. No one would have to get use to proboards...haha.
For now, I'll be going back and forth which sucks.

That's not how I remember it. I remember Mrs Teddy told a story about a child falling into the pool, and the troll said that someone needed to watch their child better, as in they weren't doing a good enough job. It was horrible and insensitive, but let's not twist things into something it wasn't...no one has ever threatened a child here.
I DO remember what you are saying. But there was a separate thread entitled gisalauranicole*other bumpie I don't remember*.
Inside it said we need to keep an eye out of your children because someone was going to get hurt.
I'm not trying to twist things, and I know my memory isn't exact, but I know it was a separate thing from the Mrs.Teddy scare.
I thought that troll just said something to you guys about running drugs or some stupid ish like that? LOL
Haha. Nope that was ANOTHER one. There were sooo many in that short period of time it's hard to decipher what all went down in what order and with who.
