Before I opened the thread, I was scratching my head thinking how else do you pronounce Jule-ee-uh? Jule-yah sounds lazy, as if you are slurring your words.
Ju-li-a, but if said quickly, it sounds like Jul-ya. Like sometimes Nicholas sounds like Nickless. The non-accented syllable often gets lost. The best example I can give: "Ni-ko-las! Niiii-ko-las! It's time to wake up! (10 minutes later) Niklis Paul Lastname, get your butt out of bed!"
