Hi -
We are expecting our first baby in late February & both of our families live out of state. We have a 2 bedroom house, a huge dog & some very insistent grandmas! I was just wondering if anyone else in this situation had come up with a nice way of saying "thanks for your help, but I will go insane trying to take care of a new baby AND dealing with guests." I appreciate the help they are offering, but feel like this is the time for our small family to bond without people moving in for a month. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!!
Re: Mother/mother-in-law visiting after baby
My in laws came 2 days after i delievered and stayed at a hotel and it didnt help pne bit. My MIL came and all she did was hold my son and went against everything I said. I told her not to use a flash camera when he was sleeping she did. I told her not to pick him up and let him sleep she did and woke him. And the chores that she said she would help with was to give my son his first bath (I was not happy). And all the time she was visiting I cooked and cleaned.
My mother is waiting a few months to visit at first I was so mad now I'm so happy.
