cold hands

LO wears footed pjs and sleeps in her crib in the nursery, ceiling fan on.  The room itself isn't really cold, I shut the A/C vent in case that is on, which it hasn't been for a while now.  So her whole body is covered and she feels warm (not overheated, but nice and warm) in the morning, but her hands are cold.  I guess it's not a big deal, well, until she's eating and touching me all over with those cold hands!

 Anyone else have cold hands in the morning?

    DD has it also, and it's totally normal. Our ped told us that babies aren't very efficient at keeping warm, so their bodies will pull the blood from the extremeties to keep their "core" warm. Adult bodiesdo this also, but they can withstand colder temperatures before needing to do so. The ped said you could layer LO up even more, but it's really not necessary as you don't want them to overheat.

    Very normal, even more once they start chewing on their hands all the time.

    DDs hands are FREEZING often, but especially at night/in the morning.  Even if she is dressed in layers
