I posted this in 3-6 months board.

How many mommies actually fill out your baby books? I keep LO's updated and I looked back to the note I wrote him in the back when I was still pregnant and got all nostalgic. I can't believe DS is going to be four months soon! I'm wondering how many actually use them because none of my friends fill out their LO's baby books or they barely do and I'm wondering if I should waste my money buying this as a future babyshower gift.

    I dont have one of those fill-in-the-blank baby books but I am creating a scrapbook for my LO. My mom didnt do one for us (I could barely find pictures!) and she blocked out most of the pregnancy experience lol so I kinda feel like I'm missing out bc I have so many curiosities.

    I recently found my dad's and we actually bonded on how similar my experience so far is to my grandmothers. My sister is actually considering making this part of my shower so bc some of the things in my dads book are hilarious. I think they are still valid gifts so I would continue to gift them. Children like me will greatly appreciate having some sort of keepsake like this to show our children :-)

    Funny you asked this question.  Just yesterday I took my kids' (and my own and DH's) babybooks to work to work on them.  My oldest (DD) is filled out completely (I think).  The other two...eh...not so much (I feel really guilty).  My one DS has one that goes until he is 80 years old!!!  Obviously I will not be able to finish that one.  HA HA  I took mine and my DH's just to compare what was written in each.  I think mine is actually filled out more than my DH's.  I was the last of 4 and the ones closest in age to me was 7 when I was born...maybe that is why.  My DH is 3 years younger then his sister.  I love looking at all the old congrats cards that are in them.

    Ok good to know other people actually use them. This is my favorite gift to buy for mom-to-be's because I personally love going through my baby books and seeing what my mom wrote about me. Hopefully, my friends will actually use the baby books that I bought them.
