Intro post

I have an almost 3 year old DD. Her father and I had a very rocky relationship, and conceived after being together only 6 months. He was in jail from my 1st tri until DD was 5 days old. I broke up with him for good when DD was 5 months old. He is an alcoholic and used to be a drug addict (meth, cocaine, pot etc.) We used state services to get custody, visitation and child support ordered last year. I have sole legal and physical custody with him having EOW supervised by his family. Anyway, I have been with my SO for 1.5 years now, and he has been a daily part of DD's life almost from the beginning. SO and I plan to be married and start TTC in 2014 when I finish school, thus expanding our little blended family. I have lurked here a time or two and am now intoducing myself so that as I start posting everyone will know who I am. My perspectives come from being the bio mother, and a single mother (although I don't consider myself to be anymore since SO and I have been together for half of DD's life.) I work full time and go to school part time studying Criminal Justice. If you have any other questions for me I'd be happy to answer :)
