I went for a check up this morning after another sleepless night of pretty painful contractions. Last night was the first night they were timeable. By the time I called the OB, though (like 4:30 am), the cramping stopped, but I still had soooo much pressure!She said I could either go to the hospital or wait it out & just go to the office in the morning, so that's what I did,
The head was so low the OB could barely reach around it to check me. I am 4 cm & 80% effaced. He said if we wanted we could have the baby today. It was so tempting for numerous reasons, but I decided I didn't want to induce based solely on convenience.
So the dr said that now, as soon as anything starts to happen to just head straight over to the hospital b/c I prob won't make it to Sunday.
sigh, so I'm back at home waiting. Tomorrow is MH's bday, so we'll see if he has to share his bday or not, lol.
There's really no point to this post other than to vent that waiting & wondering if "this could be it" sucks. Also worrying about making sure DS will be cared for while I'm gone (although I know he will be!) sucks, too.
Re: Turned down an induction today
The waiting game sucks! But I can't wait to meet your new LO.
(and, happy birthday to your H
)
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
OMG, that is just so exciting. It does sound like it will happen in the next couple of days! 4 cms is pretty dilated to be walking around for too long, right? I'm crossing my fingers it happens at the most convenient time for you!
btw, it is going to be hard to drive by the hospital on my way to work if I know you are there and not want to run in and squish-hug your baby girl!
Thanks, girls! I don't remember being this anxious waiting for Anthony, lol. I guess b/c there's more things up in the air this time with having to get DS taken care of first before getting to the hospital. I hate having to plan for all different scenarios.
But I will of course keep you all updated!
I was also so worried about leaving Griff when I went into labour. Thankfully he was asleep when I left for the hospital so I never actually had to say a tearful good bye to him.
I hope all goes smoothly for you!

Good luck, mama!
THe waiting game is tough, but you totally have a right to do/eat anything that makes you happy and comfortable at this point! Rest if you can!
Oooh, good luck! Can't wait for those squishy pictures! Sounds like you don't really need an induction, you'll be having that baby soon!
