my very first
a sweet human being who looks up to u for everything , bathe cloth feed change and play..
pudgy tummy after delivery ..leaking enormous breast.. and chronic plugged ducts for me..and 20 more pounds to loose.
it is a lot more hard work than i ever imagined.
this, plus I never imagined how emotional this experience would be (good and bad)
It's really hard! I mean, I knew it was going to be hard, but it's different than what I expected. Who knew feeding a hungry/fussy could be such a daunting task?
This is my first...
What's glamorous? Hmm, I wouldn't say glamorous, but now being in the Mom's club with all my friends. ( I was the last to do the mommy thing..)
Whats not so glamorous? Too much to list... getting ready for work, showered and changed and then just as you are about to get in the car, getting spit up all over you, and you are already late, so no time to change...Middle of the night feedings when LO is in a growth spurt, and you are a walking zombie...
The one thing that I'm surprised about motherhood is how I would sacrifice EVERYTHING in the world for my LO....Sounds cliche, but never knew I could ever feel this way and mean it. Other thing is never thought I would enjoy the bond of breastfeeding so much!!
Glamorous- Baby giggles! How my baby is so social and hams it up anytime we go out for me and anyone who says hi. I -love- shopping for this kid. How easy he is. How I just about die from how amazing I feel when I see us all together in a picture.
Not so glamorous- I HATE growth-spurts. Hes sleeping worse than when he was a newborn right now I want to gouge my eyes out (he is way fun afterwards though. It's amazing how they get new skills outta no where in a week)
Surprised- Honestly (and this is a confession) I feel awful that it's a little difficult for me to be a good wife and a good mommy. On the hard days, I catch myself taking out frustration on my hubby and I feel horrible. Im working on it hardcore.

Just looking at him & thinking that me & DH made him out of love & how unbelievable beautiful & perfect he is...
not so glamorous...the burp ups, being peed on... (haven't been barfed on...yet...) the dark circles underneath my eyes...
I'm surpristed that I've not missed my pre baby life any... and that I could love somebody so much more than I ever could imagine..

I don't know if there is much of anything that is "glamorous" per se.
Not so glamorous: the smell of rotten milk on my clothes from being spit up on, how I can't seem to change a poopy diaper without getting it on me, being tired all. the. time.
I was surprised at how attached I was when he was born. I knew I would love my child, but there was an attachment that I can't explain to this day.

When she smiles at me...can't get enough of it! I also secretly love that at this point, I'm the only one that can really soothe her.
What is not so glamorous?
Poop!! Messy house!! Dealing with my in-laws!!
What is one thing about motherhood that has surprised you?
How much Im capable of loving.
This is my 3rd baby.
I'm not sure anything is particularly glamorous about motherhood...not by my definition of 'glamour' anyway.
Not so glamorous? LOTS! Especially with more than one kid. I have an infant that is always covered in drool or spit up, and frequently needs diaper changes. I have a 2 year old who is sort of starting to potty train, so sometimes refuses to wear diapers. And the other day my DS1 decided, while playing outside, to poo outside. Ugh it was gross. That was an un-glamorous day!
The thing about motherhood that has surprised me is probably how totally all-encompassing it is. I know it would be a lot of work and they'd be my "whole world" but the extent of that can't be anticipated ahead of time. I take lots of "me" time and DH and I do lots without the kids, but in the end every decision I make now is about the kids.

What is glamorous about motherhood?
Uh...nothing? Wait, I've gone to 5 weddings so far this summer and DS attracts more attention than the bride most of the time, so maybe there's a slight celebrity factor!
What is not so glamorous?
Getting puke in your cleavage...projectile poops...waking up every 2 hours at night sometimes...the list goes on.
What is one thing about motherhood that has surprised you?
How proud I am of him. If I'm this proud of his ability to hold his head up and laugh, I can only imagine how proud I'll be on his graduation day.
Aww! I was making a huge deal out of him trying to sit up and then I realized that I get to cheer him on for every- single- thing- he'll ever do and I got all emotional. It was awesome.
What is not so glamorous? Getting peed on! My son still gets me from time to time.
What is one thing about motherhood that has surprised you? As cheesy as it sounds, I never knew I could love anyone so much as I do my little boy.
What is glamorous about motherhood?
DD's smiles, her 'conversations' with me, and watching her learn all of these cool new skills! Not so much glamorous, but a treat anyway!
What is not so glamorous?
Spit up on your clothes, naps every 90 minutes, the Wonder Weeks, and growth spurts :-/
What is one thing about motherhood that has surprised you?
The Witching Hours at first - no one tells you about those!! Also the 4 month wakeful... I'm also surprised with how quickly DD is developing an obvious personality.
