So I went out to get the mail this morning and as I'm walking back, I ran into my new upstairs neighbors who I hadn't met yet. I talked to this guy and his wife for a few minutes and they seemed nice, but standoffish.
When I came back inside, I suddenly remembered that I wasn't wearing any makeup and was wearing some grungy jeans and a tank top. On top of that, my hair looked terribly greasy with visible dandruff (I swear, I've NEVER had hair issues like this before) and if that wasn't bad enough, I was walking with a sort of lurching gimp leg due to my sciatica. But wait! There's more... I have had terrible acne breaking out on my chest and neck area and they are just now starting to heal. I'm positive I was scratching my acne (gross, I know) and the pimples looked red and irritated and one was even bleeding a little.
Let's take a poll here.. and be honest: if you saw someone as described above... would you guess they were:
a. First time pregnant lady
b. Meth addict
How embarrassing! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to take a long shower, shave with a new blade, pluck my eyebrows etc. As God as my witness, I will ONLY leave my apartment looking like I use my tub for keeping good hygiene...not for cooking up meth.
Re: So much for first impressions...
This is too funny! Thank you for making my afternoon.

LOL I definitely vote B, but no worries! Just act normal the next time you see them and I'm sure they'll realize they caught you at a rough moment. We've all been there. The worst for me was when my neighbor walked in (we're very close) and came upstairs and I was as* naked with all of my doors open. She clearly was not prepared for that.
This post was an awesome read... sorry it happened to you, but THANKS for sharing

Lol.... maybe not meth addict, but grease ball for sure.
But, you were home, it's not like you were out ready to shop the mall. I'm sure next time they see you you'll be fresh and they'll realize that is not the norm for you.
Haha, defintely best post of the day. That's awesome! We've all been there... I'm at work today with dirty hair and acne that I've been picking at all day. Lol oh well!
HAHAHAHA! I love this post. I have been so sick that I feel like that is how I look most days! Thankfully I live in a pretty rural area so the only person who has to look at my gross self is poor DH.
Your post inspired me to go shower and shave my legs!
