Thoughts on the name Leah?

My DH apparently has picked this out Leah Marie as baby girls name (HA) but I just can't seem to love it. What's thoughts on this name? I feel like I don't hear it very often really.

I just feel like it's too boring and sweet... haha (sorry no insult to any Leah's!)

Any alternatives you can suggest?? Originally we both liked Vanessa but for some reason he talked himself out of that one. He also liked Emily, so I suggested Emilia...no dice.

The name sounds nice. I don't really like Marie as a mn because I think it's a filler, but there is nothing wrong with it.

I like Leah. It's on our (expanded) short list because my husband likes two syllable names and names ending in -a.

If you don't love it, how about Leila/Layla? Or Lila?

I love Leah. It's one of those names that will never outdate, IMO.

I also really like Emily and Amelia.

I like the name Leah. Does Lia do anything more for you?

I love Emily, although super popular. My brother went to college with a Leah Beth and they call her Leah Beth and it's so sweet and southern and boy does that girl have some sass to her:)

I love it! Haha but I'm obviously partial since it is my name. I'm Leah Michelle and I have always liked my name so thats a plus! I agree that it does age well and I have always liked that I do not know a lot of other Leah's (maybe 2 IRL). Good luck choosing!
