What should I use to top my diaper cakes?

My cousin made me a pretty cute diaper cake, but I feel like it was kind of thrown together, not a WHOLE lot of thought was put into it because she was throwing the entire shower. But I'm making 2 diaper cakes as my main gift for two different showers (: I have them all finished and they look adorable but I need to decorate them!

I don't want to use an ordinary bow to top it like what was on the one I got for my shower. I used 3 different kinds of ribbon on my SIL's cake and 2 on the one for my girlfriend.

    When I googled images of diaper cakes I saw that a lot of people either did a stuffed animal or baby care products like diaper rash cream, baby lotion, shampoo, etc...

    I wanted to put small baby products on the tiers of the cakes, but I like the idea of a stuffed animal as the topper. Thanks (:

    I have used a few different things.  Once I put a porcelin mustic box (for a baby girl) and had a gift card from BRU in it (where she was registered.  Another time I bought one of those little blankets with a stuffed animal attached and stuffed the blanket part down in the center hole.  I have also used a regular teddy bear to sit on top.  Lately (I've made several of these) I've been making "flowers" out of baby socks and putting a boutquet on top.  These really only work with baby girls since the boys socks don't make attractive "flowers".  lol

    Avoid ordinary and put a poop on top of the cake.  A faux turd, of course. Yes

    You do realize that 'finished' and 'undecorated' don't exactly go hand in hand, right?

    It's women like YOU that I wanted no say from! I don't understand why some freaking women have to be so rude for no freaking reason!! And of course, I'm the 8 year old. I just want to be nice but I guess that's a crime on this site.

    Yes, I realize, I just meant the cake part was finished. It is now decorated but I'm not sure I want to post the pictures after all. Thanks.

    You are delusional if you think that comment was anywhere in the realm of rude. It's no one's problem but yours that you posted on a public forum and expected everyone to kiss your asss and feed into your ego. People are going to give opinions if you ask for them, and they'll most likely be honest ones. Get over it.
