CP: What's in LO's crib?

DH and I are debating giving DD a stuffed animal to keep in her crib at night. Apparently she has a Care Bear at daycare she likes to sleep with. Just curious, who else has something in LO's crib?[Poll]

  • Avery has a small pillow, blanket, and a stuffed horse. She has had them for a few months now.

  • She wears a sleep sack at night, but there is absolutely nothing in her crib because she just throws everything out.  I don't know what we're going to do, blanket-wise, when she grows out of the sleep sack.

  • We have a couple stuffed animals in her crib and a blanket. I am contemplating adding a small pillow because she loves using ours.

  • She has a small stuffed animal, but she doesn't pay much attention to it. Oh... and she has about 10 pacis. She pays lots of attention to those!

  • Our bedtime routine has recently turned into puppy having to go night night first. So she brings her puppy, her A&A lovey, and her A&A blanket to me and they all go in the crib. She makes a big production of covering puppy up and shhhing him and telling him "nigh nigh" before she cuddles up next to him and goes to sleep.

Daycare told me they aren't supposed to, but they have been sneaking her a soft baby in her crib because she begs for baby to go night night with her at naps.

  • DD still uses a sleep sack at night and with naps and she's had a Lovee and stuffed monkey in her crib since she was about 8 months old.

  • I voted stuffed animal and pillow, but it's actually blanket and multiple stuffed animals.

He has sleep sheep, lovey, and 3 small stuffed animals beanie baby sized.

  • I voted stuffed animal and a blanket...but the stuffed animal is really a lovey.

  • I voted for "stuffed animal & blanket", but we also have a pillow, their lovey, & a ribbon blanket in their cribs.

  • DD has a stuffed animal, a pillow, 2 AA security blankets, and a few books.

  • O has her blanket, pillow pet, stuffed animal, some toys, a book or 2 sometimes. She also sometimes ends up with baby wipes in the crib becasue she grabs them off the changing table that's attached to the crib.

  • I am still a worrywart so we only let her have a small blanket in there because she likes to keep it pretty close to her face. She also has a mini pillow pet and that's it. I guess the pillow pet would be considered a stuffed animal. Occasionally I will leave her my pal Violet in there but not often..
  • Hmm...a coupleof books, seahorse, taggie blanket a couple of other stuffed items.

  • She still wears a sleep sack to bed, but we recently started letting her have this really soft blanket that she absolutely adores in there with her as well. Then last night, she was holding onto a stuffed otter while DH was singing her songs in the glider and she wouldn't let it go when he put her in the crib, so that was the first night she slept with a stuffed animal in addition to the blanket. She was super excited about it when she woke up this morning. :)

  • I voted SS...he's never had a blanket, but he has 3 of the little 'head/mini blanket' toys, and 1 stuffed Carter's ducky.

  • I don't really count it being "in" her crib but her Sleep Sheep is strapped on one corner on the outside of her crib. Nothing else. She didn't take to the lovey ever since...and I used to leave Sophie and other teether from the same maker in her crib but she just didn't care for them.

This. We've put stuff in there, he either throws it or smushes it into the corner.

  • She's had two lovies and two stuffed animals in there since she turned a year old.  She likes to cuddle with them.  I've tried giving her a blanket but she's moves around so much it never stays on, so it seems pointless at this point.

  • He wears a sleep sack rather than a blanket. He'd never keep a blanket on him if I tried. He does have 3 A+A loveys, and a small stuffed bear.

  • Em has nothing in her crib. We won't be giving her anything until she is in a toddler bed.

  • She had nothing until about 13ish months I'd say.  About a month or two ago, she started (finally) taking to a lovey.  Now she has to have her blanky.  Most recently, she likes having a pillow in with her even though she doesn't use it.

At this age, I am not worried and don't see the problem.

  • Liam sleeps with a small lovey (one of those blanket type things with a dog head on the top) and with a light crocheted blanket over his legs.

  • I voted stuffed animal and blanket, but he also has his sleep sheep hanging from the railing, and a small pillow as well.
