I have noticed I am a lot more laid back than I used to be...I used to be SUPER anal and worried about EVERY THING. I have noticed lately I go more with the flow with DD...like I let her use her sippy with a little bit of water and apple juice for the first time yesterday (constipation)...I let her have a TINY little taste of my fruit smoothie (like a drop seriously)...I let her hang upside down when we play for a second because it makes her laugh (but I am careful of course)...I guess it could be her age of course, but I think I am finally starting to mellow out...a little bit anyway.

what about you? are you mellowing out or becoming more uptight? or about the same??

Re: are you mellowing out?
Oh I am WAAAYYY more laid back with my second baby than with my first. I would freak out if DS wouldn't fall asleep or if he napped in the carseat/stroller/etc. instead of his crib. I would worry all the time if he was meeting milestones, babbling enough, playing with a wide variety of toys--all that. Of course now I worry that DD isn't getting enough direct interaction. She observes a heck of a lot during the day, but I'm not all up in her face all the time like I probably was with DS.
ETA: Time definitely helps me mellow out. I'm more laid back with DS as time passes as well.
