Thank you note question

Hi - My shower is in about 2 weeks and I am in the process of ordering thank you notes from tiny prints. The one I like has the option to put your name on the front of the note card...do you think that's strange? Should I just skip that option and not personalize with my name? Or should i put both mine and my husbands name? Or just leave it with mine and chalk it up to putting too much thought into this one?

    I think it's the thought that counts and no one will really mind if it's personalized or not (: also usually showers don't have anything to do with the father or husband, lol my step-bro showed up to mine and was the only dude there!

    Ha ha I had no job or money at the time of my shower and bought my Thank You's at the Dollar Tree. I'm sure they were appreciated though (:

    Unless your husband will be signing them too, then it is fine to have them personalized with just your name.

    Yes, I am also one who bought 75 personalized thank you notes from Tiny Prints. They are very pretty and I love them. And while they have pink on them, they are not baby-ish. I can use any leftovers long after the girls arrive since I send TY notes for all gifts, not just baby showers.

    I think as long as you take the time to send them, you are ok!  My roommate from college got married 3 years ago - never received a thank you not for the shower or wedding gift.  A good friend got married about a month ago - no thank your note for shower or wedding gift.  Poor form in my book!

    Maybe put your last name on them (i.e. "The Smiths")- if they're not super-baby showerish, you can probably continue to use them.  I got some fairly generic ones for my shower, and continued to use them for all the post-baby gifts we received, daycare thank yous, and first birthday gifts.

    Is it possible to have just your last name or initial of your last name?  Then the left overs can be used another time.  I never ordered thank you's or note cards with just my name (or even my DH's and my name) on them.

    I don't think personalizing is necessary.  Any kind of thank you card is good :)
