Thrush?

I'm trying to find out what I can about thrush on here before I call my dr... anything you know will be helpful!  LO has what looks like yeast on his tongue, which I initially just thought was my BM residue.  The past few days my boobs have been burning, itchy and feel like needles are stabbing them non-stop (even when I'm not BFing), so I'm wondering if I have a yeast infection.  Also, my nipples are cracked and nursing is always painful.  TIA!

    Per my LC, I'm putting Lotrimin (or the generic form) on my nips 4x a day, and rinsing them with a vinegar wash after each feeding. 1tbsp apple cider vinegar with 1cup water, use a seperate cotton ball for each side each time.

    As far as LO's thrush, I have an rx from the Dr. for nyastin (sp) drops

    I kid you not I used nystatin 4x a day for 2 straight months sterilizing everything that touched her mouth every single day. Nothing changed until I used lotrimin in her mouth as per my Pedi and it was gone in 1 day. I saw a small recurrence about a month later used the lotrimin once, gone.

    just regular otc lotrimin? that's safe for mouths?

    I'd give your doc a call first to make sure, but that is what my doc told me to do. And it worked... sorry for the late response!
