  • I did! I followed this tutorial.

Not sure how familiar you are with sewing but that was my first quilt, and one of my first sewing projects ever. It is very simple but sewing some of the baby clothes together was very difficult. Stretchy knits were the hardest to sew, they stretched and warped themselves so I had to do some test pieces first to get the right stitch length. Once you concur that, the rest goes very smoothly.

I was so worried about making that quilt and ruining his baby clothes but it turned out great and I'm so glad I did it. I plan to make one for all of our children on their first bday. Smile

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

  • Awesome! Thank you!!
I read somewhere to use stabilizer for the stretchy ones... I have sewn a bit, so hopefully it won't be too difficult.
I was going to save the clothes for a second LO, but may be done. So this way I can enjoy his sweet stuff! Yours turned out great!!

Ah yes, I bet stabilizer would help! Wish I had thought of that before I did his, haha.

DS loves his quilt. The back side I made out o this super soft fleece and when we gave it to him he laid his face down on it and kept rubbing it from side to side. He just loved how soft it was. It made my heart melt! I'll always remember thatSmile
