My son hates shoes ! Recomendations please!

My son was never big on shoes.  Over the summer he got totally spoiled because I let him go barefoot.  Now that we are starting to have cooler days I tried putting socks and shoes on him.  Boy did he protest!  He won't keep them on now.  I'm even having a hard time with him keeping the socks on.  

 My son has wide feet that are chubby on top so not all shoes fit him well.  He's walking now, so we need to find something that works.  

 

Any suggestions on shoes that work best for kids like him????

    This is not much help, but I've found that shoes with laces work best. You can get 'em on tight, and double knot 'em, so LO can't get them off (as easily, at least).

    Thanks! I'm willing to try anything! We took him to stride rite yesterday to get fitted and they said he needs an extra wide shoe! They only had like 2 pairs to choose from in the store! Hopefully he'll be more comfortable with them!

    We're in the same boat. I am having a hard time finding shoes that don't squish her fat foot. So far her Stride Rite shoes fit her the best.
