With all of the problems with LO now theres one more to worry about! I have had pain in my leg since I was pregnant. Finally I pushed for an ultrasound of my leg and it showed I have a blood clot! I may have to go in the hospital and cant even fathom being away like that! Please pray for my family and more importantly the health of LO! TIA.

I am so sorry, even if you have to go to the hospital, your family can be with you, I think. And now you have an answer, you will get relief from the pain soon. Try not to stress.

When I was going through all my chemo treatments, I got a blood clot in my neck. It sucked and was so incredibly painful.

I was hospitalized for 4 days and was put on daily injections and pills. You will be on the shots for awhile and then once you start the pills, you will have blood tests constantly to test for your clotting time and your pill intake will be adjusted accordingly. Once that gets to a point they are happy with, you will go down to once a week monitoring.

It really is annoying but you should be happy it was found now and it did not travel because VERY bad things happen when they travel.

Also, when you are doing your daily injections into your belly, put ice on your belly for about 4-5 minutes first. It will make the soreness less.

PS. this also means that you can NEVER again be on hormonal birth control. Just thought I would tell you this in case no one mentioned it.
