reco your sleep sacks

My husband and I are trying to get our registry together and we have found that these (like so many things) range greatly in price. Are some better than others? What brand did you like best for sleep sacks?

If it matters, I am having an early Feb baby (Feb 3)

We used Halo sleep sacks. Never had a problem and DS seemed to be warm in them, he was born in October so we used them all through the winter. If I had bigger ones I'd probably try and use them still because it gets cold at night with the ac.

We are currently using the Halo swaddler sleep sacks. When she grows put of them we will use the Halo sleep sacks. We used fleece ones all summer since it is cool at night with the AC on.

I love aden and anais sleep sacks! We would put LO in footie pjs with a sleep sack over in the winter- warmer months, we just put him in a onesie and sleep sack. A&A products are my favorites.

This might be a silly question, but do you use sleep sacks after swaddling or do some babies just prefer one to the other, or does it make a difference? Sorry to veer your thread off course - just a curious FTM!

My understanding is your just swaddle for a while when they are really small. Sleep sacks are just like a blanket you wear since it's a suffocation hazard to have a regular blanket in their crib. So I think it can be either or one and then the other.

Grobag. We are still using them at a year and plan to until we switch to toddler beds.

We use Halo and they are great. We also have one from Carters, which has been fine for him as an infant, but now that he is getting bigger, Carters will soon be too small. They sell them at BRU, and online through Target.

For a February baby, if you get Halo brand, I'd get the small in cotton...because you'll likely be swaddling in the beginning anyway and wouldn't use a sleep sack. It will be warm and springy before he/she uses a regular sleepsack. Or, get the Halo Swaddle Sleepsack" in the warmer fleece option, since you'll want him/her to say warm, to use right away.

I just ordered size medium fleece Halo sleep sacks for the fall for my really tall April baby who will grow out of his small cotton summer ones soon.

Ditto Grobag. I never liked the Halo bags, always seemed thin and cheap. Grobags are like European sleeping bags - substantial and can be made thicker (higher tog levels).

Halo. They were the best for us, and the price is great.

We did have one zzZipMe Sack, found on Amazon. Great for colder weather, and the softest material. But the price was high.

We used the swaddleme. I have a bunch of sleep sacks in various brands but he hated having the sack on for some reason. Unfortunately I opened and washed them all so I can't take them back
