How often do you wash your brushes? And with what?
What about mascara? I usually jut get a new one when the present is getting clumpy, dry etc
And what is your favorite mascara and why?
I'm currently using the pink/green mascara and I'm shopping for a new one. Any suggestions?
Re: Let's talk makeup and brushes
For mascara, I like Clinique the best. It is pricier, but I rarely wear makeup so it can kind of last me forever.
And as for the brushes, well oopsie, I do not clean them. I probably should, but again, I wear makeup so infrequently that I guess it doesn't matter that much.
Well, one of my BFFs used to work for QVC as a beauty buyer, so I still have a ton of free makeup and brushes. I wash the brushes occasionally with just water, but I'll toss them if they look too gross and just move on to the next batch.
Mascara - favorite is Lancome...doesn't clump and doesn't run...but smash box is pretty good too. I couldn't even tell you what I'm using now...down to about the last free tube so its some random brand.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I wash my brushes roughly once a month with baby shampoo.
I am pretty loyal to Mary Kay makeup so that's the mascara I use. Right now I'm using their waterproof, but I'm not as happy with that as the regular kind.
I get new mascara every...6 months? Or, more often, of needed. My favorite is MAC ZoomLash. Only like 13, so not bad.
I don't wash my brushes as often as I should, but when I do I wash them with a brush soap I got from sephora.
I usually get new mascara about every 3 months (sometimes sooner). I've always heard that it's really bad to keep mascara much longer than that because the brush can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Either way I use it everyday and typically at about that time is when the texture starts changing so I just toss it and get a new one.
I'm a bit of a makeup junkie so I always buy different brands of mascara, but I always tend to go back to Maybelline (any kind really).
And I also just washed my brushes with baby shampoo : they feel so clean!
