Today my OB told me that there will be total of 3 US's.. one was done when i had my first visit at 8 weeks ..next will b at 13th week and after that the last one at 21st week..is this the way its going for everyone ?
I am not sure if the insurance company covers all 3 ultra sounds..
Re: Total 3 ultra sounds
I've had 4 already and have my NT scan on Tuesday...my insurance covers anything needed by my Fertility doc and now my OB...you need to check if they cover the testing one like the NT, but other then that you will be fine..
If you have any problems or concerns, you can get more. I'm high risk, so I will get them every other week starting at week 16-28. Then I get non-stress tests twice a week from week 30-39. They do a fluid check at those with the ultrasound.
So, if there are problems I am sure you will have more. I hope you have a uneventful, low risk pregnancy. All those ultrasounds are a pain. I practically live at the doctor's office/hospital (they do non-stress tests there) during the end of my pregnancy. Not fun.
IVF cycle two=success! Hoping for another take home baby. Missed miscarriage at 9w4d. Here we go again....
IVF cycle three- transferred two and had NINE to freeze. BFP! Hoping this is our second rainbow baby.
I should have read your siggy before asking...I'm sorry...I also got pregnant using FET...wish you the best of luck for an uneventful pregnany....
My 2 year old was a single FET. We thought it would be a bust for sure. My "sub-par" embryo is currently sleeping in his crib
Good luck to you and congrats!

This. Most insurances will cover whatever your OB deems necessary.
I'm also high risk (due mostly to MTHFR) and will have ultrasounds every 3-4 weeks until around 20-24 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 28-30 weeks then weekly; I think I start non-stress tests around 28 weeks as well (maybe 24 weeks?). This was the protocol with my 1st and aside from my small copay, all of the ultrasounds were covered by my insurance.
LOL I know what you mean about practically living at the doctors office those last couple of months. Gosh, with all the u/s and monitoring, each appt would take 2 hours at least. Ultrasounds lost their appeal around 30 weeks or so.
Yup. Me too.
I had the opposite of this. I kept telling them "I feel like this baby is gigantic" and at the ultrasound one week before I delivered they said he was only about 8 to 8 1/2 pounds. He was 10 lbs. 8 oz.
He was 8lbs 5oz. My DH was the closest guess. He said 8lb 4oz. None of the doctors said below 9. I was induced due to BP issues. If they had induced from his size, I would have been pissed. Ha ha.
