Are you planning to get yourself and your LO a flu vaccine this year? Either the mist or the shot. Feel free to comment below with reasons why or why not. I'm still debating.[Poll]

I haven't gotten one for years. I did before kids occasionally, and my luck of getting it on a specific year seemed to not at all be influenced by whether or not I had the vaccine.
The boys have never had them. I voted "undecided", though we probably won't get them again. They're not in daycare, and though we're around some kids, it's not like it's an everyday kind of thing. Neither of them have ever had the flu, and I haven't since the last year I had the flu shot (2008, I believe).
I'm undecided. Neither one of us got the shot last year, but DH did (he doesn't have a choice since he's in the military). DH actually got the flu, and even though M and I were around him the whole time, we never got sick. I know that's anecdotal, and we should consider ourselves lucky. If anything, I'll maybe get it for M but not for myself.

My only flu shot like, ever was when I was pregnant because my doctor really urged that the flu could hurt my baby. I will not be getting it. Finley already did during her 15 month shots since we were there.
My kids usually get the flu shot (I don't see a reason why they shouldn't, after reading studies on the pros/cons). I know I got one a long time ago, but besides going to the OB/GYN for my pregnancies I can't tell you the last time I even went to a doctor, unless I'm on my death bed I don't go to the dr.
DH and I both get one (we're teachers - too many germs floating around to not get one!), and B will get one too. He's in daycare, plus with my hubby and I always around germy kids, we want to be safe.
Definitely plan to...both of us. DH has to because of his job. In recent years, the only time I didn't get one was when I was pregnant - I wasn't sure, but thought I was when they were offering them at work, so they wouldn't give me one there and told me to get one at my doc. I never did and really never had any illness while I was pregnant - just a head cold that was gone in a few days. That said...I wish I had gotten this year's last month when I picked up a prescription. Given the achy joints I had Monday night...pretty sure it was a respiratory flu I was dealing with.

I work in healthcare so I typically get one. DH gets sick at the drop of a hat so I make him get one too. DS got one last year when he was able. Since then, we've discovered he has an egg allergy. I remember reading somewhere that if you have an egg allergy you can't get the flu shot. I will ask the pedi when we go in a couple of weeks.

Of course we will get the shot. I get one every year because I work in healthcare. DD will get one at her next doctor's appointment this month. I guess I don't understand why people don't really do it either, I think we often forget that the flu can be deadly...it's not just an annoying stuffy nose or fever.
I voted we both will get it, both boys already had theirs. I need to get mine at work when they start giving them away, then I need to harass DH until he goes to get his
I voted yes for both, but I've never actually gotten one. However, I had a nasty 24-hour stomach virus this summer that knocked me on my butt. I can imagine that the flu is only 1000x worse. I'm thinking I might actually get it this year.
Ty will get one at his 15-month next week, but I don't know if I will. I did the past 2 years because I was either pregnant or EPing, but I normally don't. Plus, last winter I felt like it made me more sick than normal, so I doubt I'll get one this year.
Well I wasn't sure I'd be getting one this year but since DH now works for a health insurance company he was given vouchers for he and I to get flu shots this year. The boys will get their at their checkups on Wedensday (as long as they are over this horrible cold we all have).

Audrey had hers at her 15 month check up.
