  I really like Nolan. When I was talking about boy names with DH he suggested Rolan. It has a similar sound. I think I still prefer Nolan.

  ETA: I like the pp's suggestion of Ronan! It has gained some popularity but I don't think it will skyrocket (but don't quote me on that). It is currently our #1 choice. Our second choice is Adrian.

  I love Noel for a boy like Nolan without the an. Declan is getting quite popular, so if you're worried about popularity, I wouldnt go that route.

  Nolan was a front runner for us, but we ended up with a Malcolm.  Maybe you'd like our other choices - Dominic, Arthur, Henry or Desmond.
