I ate a salad last night covered in feta!! Had no clue you shouldn't eat it until I read the responses from my post his morning from last night.   Do you think my baby is okay???? 

Just kidding! But I did eat a salad loaded with feta but I'm not worried about my LO --- that can't be a real story can it?? I guess comments like that deserve some snarky remarks-- I don't plan on being that stupid!

    I bought a bunch of salami the night before my BFP.. oh how I miss it so. Somehow I'm sure it will come out tasting like spam if I cook it first :

    Oh yeah, and it's a real story. Some chick  flipped out and posted that she ate a salad with feta on it, but only ate "a fingernail full", she assured everyone that she immediately went to the bathroom and made herself throw her entire lunch up and was still freaking out wondering if she hurt her baby. There was much laughter.

    haha, that was my first thought. I'm still eating lunch meat. Heat it up to kill any listeria.

    Most feta in US is pasteurized so you should be okay

    I love shaved turkey, ham and roast beef.. crap.  I have been eating it for weeks now.. huh
    great now I am gonna starve.. wonderful

    So I was awesome with my first pregnancy and thought oh I can't eat deli meat, I will get a chicken salad sandwich...yeah because chicken salad is going to have less bacteria in it.

    Regardless, I ate me a crap ton of Subway (not toasted) the entire first tri. It's all I could handle without throwing up.

    AH! I have a friend who is like this! Whenever she comes over she points out what she can and cannot eat from our fridge and meals. Too bad for her we buy Hormel Natural Choice which is nitrate-free and Applegate Farms hotdogs which are actual nitrate-free beef also. I kind of like watching her so carefully avoid what she could be eating.
