I used to have nipples...

But then my DD turned 4 months old and decided that the world was so interesting, she couldn't stand to miss a thing. So now every time I nurse her, she is constantly turning her head to see who's in the room, what's making noise, etc. And if the TV's on, forget about it! Literally every 2 seconds she's turning her head all the way around and taking my nipple with it. Oww!!!

  • Yup, I hear ya. DD does the same thing. Just when I felt my nipples were healed, I am back to using nipple cream almost every night.

  • We're there too and with a 22 month old there's always something to look at.

  • I am starting to notice this as well.  He pulls on and off sometimes and it can hurt depending on how good of a suck he had going on at the moment!  Also, he likes to touch my chest while nursing and sometimes he grabs my other nipple!  Ouch!

  • I just had to hand her off to DH for a few mins because my nipples were so sore!

  • My daughter doesn't even need a anything to distract her. Since 3 months she started flipping her head back every ten seconds or so (yeouch) to look up to me as if to make sure I am still in the room. The only consolation to the stretched and tweaked nipple is the giant gummy grin she gives me every time she realizes, yup, mommy is still in the room. She then dives right back onto the boob.

See, about a month ago my baby started looking up at me with her big ol' eyes, then smiling at me with my boob hanging out of her mouth. It was adorable. However, now she's looking at EVERYTHING in the room. Yesterday when the TV was on, she literally yanked on my nipple every 5 seconds, again and again, to see what was going on on the screen. Not so cute.
