Amazing the things you forget in three years! Not only am I brain dead at the moment I am beginning this process with a new OB.
Followed up with my doc and got my second beta #. Numbers are good and she scheduled my first ultrasound on the 24th. I know it will be transvaginal, but am concerned it will be too early to see anything. Seemed like I waited much longer the last time around. I will be 6w 2 days at the most. Too soon?

I had a missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy. For that one, they did the first ultrasound at about 6 weeks, and they did tell me it was possibly too early. I then had 2 more weeks of gut-wrenching, horrible waiting, more ultrasounds, etc. before they finally determined it was a miscarriage. For that reason, I waited until 9 weeks with my last (full-term) pregnancy for the first ultrasound, and with this pregnancy I am going next week at about 8 weeks. If we don't see a heartbeat, then at least I will know the answer and won't have to endure all of the horrible limbo, "it-might-be-too-early" crap.
So that was my choice, but some women like to get the early ultrasound. I personally felt that since it wouldn't make any difference in the outcome, might as well wait until we were sure to see something, which means waiting until at least 8 weeks. I hope this helps.
