I was reading an older post when I noticed that someone who responded had this listed as their location. I can't find the post and don't remember the name. Clearly I have very little to go on, but I am wondering if there is a mom here who lives close by.
Re: Is anyone from Brooklyn, NY?
Bklyn checking in!
:-)
My son is 5 months older than your big boy. We are in Bensonhurst yes, we are the only people left here. Would you mind sharing where you are in Brooklyn? Since our boys are so close in age, it might be nice to share some local resources with one another.
We're on the opposite side of Brooklyn - think JFK so most of what we do is in Queens since we're a stone's throw from there but up until August he received his ABA therapy over in Bay Ridge. We pretty much just go where the resource is - as much as possible. Thankfully we found a pre-school that's about 10 mins from here.
Have you been to the kids' museum in Brooklyn? It's in an odd part of town but it's great. I'd recommend not going on a weekend though because it's kind of a madhouse. Do you know of any autism-friendly playgrounds (indoor or out)? I've not been able to find one
Hi guys!
I know I'm late.. but I live in Brooklyn too (I never post on here). Tristan attends Thursdays child in Dieker Heights for his ABA and speach. I live in Crown Heights -- close to the Children's museum, actually.
