  DD is 8 weeks and has really started interacting with her toys in the past week. That said, I do not put toys on her carrier while it's in the car because it's not safe. I just put them on if she's going to be in her stroller for a bit.

  It is not safe to put toys on the infant carrier.  In an accident, they can and will smack your baby in the face.

  We use them when we're walking with DD in her carseat attached to her stroller, either on outdoor walks or while running errands.  She loves to bat at them (8w)

  My infant toy bar is removable. I use it on his rock n play...I do not use the rock n play for sleeping. He loves kicking the toys.
