What are your pipe dreams? If you could do anything at all with your life, job wise or other...what would it be?
At this moment in time in my life, I would LOVE to open a food truck and sell cupcakes and other sweets. I love to bake, and it would be perfect. I could create my own schedule and not be confined to this little town and go where I want to, and even bring DD a bunch. I REALLY wish I had the gumption to quit my job and do that.
ETA: If anyone has any info on how to go about doing this and general costs involved, Im curious to know more.
Re: Pipe Dreams..?
I want someone from the Humane Society to call me up and say, "hey tamb! We suddenly had all this money fall into our laps, and we have a job that would be perfect for you!" Then I'd get to work around animals all day and even bring my dog to work.
Ride every single major roller coaster in the world.
That is absolutely wonderful! Great pipe dream. I feel a bit selfish in mine. Really shows your character!
Travel around the world for a year or two or three...maybe forever, with a couple of spots here and there for home base.
I'd also like to do what the donor did in Kalamazoo--the Promise. An anonymous donor (or donors) set up a fund to pay for college for kids who graduate from high school there. I can't think of anything more worthwhile than helping kids attain their dreams.

I would love to foster and rehabilitate dogs, especially ones that are considered dangerous breeds. That obviously won't happen anytime soon with a baby and plans for more, but I would love to do it in my retirement.
I also want to go back to Spain and travel more abroad. That will wait until our kids are old enough to appreciate it.
I have always wanted a petting zoo/tourist attraction type thing. I love animals and I love to teach kids (I am a 4-H dog project leader and teach classes every monday night from feb-august). Just would be so cool. I would get all the neatest breeds. My husband plays with my imaginings too. We are both animal freaks. I just spent $40 on 16 chicken EGGS! No guarantee they will even hatch, but I have been wanting these breeds for so long and DH needed chickens that would sit on eggs and hatch them for him. It was a win-win. Plus when LO gets bigger he will have the coolest birds to show (they are blue silkies and fancy cochins).
We almost have a hobby farm as it is...
I went to Barcelona for 5 days for work. It was when I was working in public relations for a high-tech PR firm. They have a huge trade show there called 3gsm. We stayed in Sitges on the water, and it was beautiful and full of history, but we le for the convention show and returned back to the hotel at god-awful hours. We only got one day of sightseeing for about 3 hours and it was after sagrada de familia was closed.
That trip was totally revved up my interest in travel. Dh has been to Italy twice and France once, so we are hoping to go in about 10-13 years. By then we will both be teachers and we want to plan a month long euro excursion.
By the way - current frontrunner is the Waldorf Astoria (cinnamon whipped cream on their waffles is to die for) and a random little hotel in Bergen, Norway that had the best cheese selection EVER.
We might be kindred spirits. This is my other one. I got my degree in Anthropology, and would have LOVED to go all the way and use it. But its so hard with wanting family too. That would be so awesome.
Also, update, DH wont let me buy a food truck. I got a quote and everything. He's so mean.
I'd love to be able to have as many kids as I wanted and provide for them a nice lifestyle (not have to worry about money). I'd love a big family who did all sorts of fun and crazy things together. Back country ski/snowboard trips, backpacking, flying to cool places etc.
The only way I can see mine coming true is lottery winning but I don't even do the lottery because I don't see the point since statistically I'd probably have a better chance of actually just finding huge sacks of cash in the street.
Hullo, the Humane Society of the US has a great legislative department. It's not hands-on animal work and it's in DC, and I have no idea what's available, but I know that HSUS loves lawyers! And that's my sneaky way of getting you to DC.
I would love to start a tour guide company for Europe. Not the traditional one, but one where you teach people how to travel by themselves using the trains/buses, eating a awesome local restaurants and staying in B&Bs.
Another option, I would love to buy a store in Vernazza, Italy and sell local lemoncello, wine and pesto to travelers.
Also would love to author a popular middle school level book series. I feel that I could do this at home and therefore stay home with Mila.
I'm working on mine, which is to be an English professor. I would also like to do more freelance writing, but I just really don't have the time to be sending out a bunch of pitches right now.
My hubby also dreams of starting a food truck. We've got a good concept and a great name, but it will likely be a while before we start pursuing it.
