Favors Suggestions

Quick question for you ladies, my sister is being a great sport and throwing me a baby shower this Sunday even though this is not at all her cup of tea.  I am so thankful for her to do this.  She did touch base with me yesterday and told me that she felt like she had a good handle on most things except for the favors.

I do a lot of arts and crafts so I have lots of different boxes or bags that she could use but she's not sure what to put in them.  What cute ideas have you seen done or done yourself at showers?

    Is there any kind of theme or color scheme?

    Edible favors are ALWAYS my favorite.  Since you're having a shower in the fall you could make maple cookies, or sugar cookies cut like leaves.  If you'd rather order something you could get candy apples or chocolate.

    I second the edible favors!!  My mom ordered dark chocolate covered pretzel rods with pink sprinkles for my shower, they were a huge hit.

    I recently watched a demo on how to make cake pops. So I vote to do those!
    Otherwise, just chocolates or something would be nice.

    Yup.  Edibles win every time.  We just did little baggies of baby-themed candy for my cousin's shower.  I took over favours for my shower as well because I wanted to help my mom, and I'm doing a foot-shaped sugar cookie and a couple of pretty coloured bags of tea in glass mugs I got from the dollar store.

    I think something fall themed would be nice like those yummy, fancy caramel apples.

    Actually you don't have to give favors at all but if you feel like you want to then most people like edible ones.  I've seen chocolate covered pretzels, cookies, brownies, truffles, M&Ms, etc.  Matter of fact, almost all the showers I've been to within the last 5 years have had edible favors.

    I like edible favors. I was thinking sugar cookies for mine because I offered to bring the favors as part (only part because the other part will be an actual note.) of my thank you to the guests. I have a onesie cookie cutter and you should check out the blog for cookieCRAZIE. She has some awesome ideas and I made her sugar cookie recipe and it is great!!
