Is anyone else going to be a first time mom? My body is going through so many weird feelings and it's hard to tell what is normal and what, if anything, I should be concerned about. I am still feeling crampy, kind of like pms... is that okay at this point? My doctor's appointment isn't until 8 weeks.

I just found out last week that I am pregnant with my first, and I have been having on and off cramping since then. From what I have read here and elsewhere, that is normal. Actually, when I called the Dr. to set up my first appointment (also at 8 weeks), the nurse asked if I was having cramping yet, and at the moment I hadn't, and she said "well you will, so don't freak out. Its totally normal". I guess they get a lot of panicked calls about it.

I have been really anxious since I found out, and am just starting to be able to calm down a little bit. Hope you feel better soon!

This is my first as well:)...I can def relate to being scared. My symptoms so far have been extreme fatigue, lower back pain, and occasional mild cramping. Hang in there you're not alone!!

Some cramping is normal, as is the wait for the OB appointment. It's definitely normal to be anxious and scared and freak out about every little thing that feels unusual. Hell, this is my second, and I feel the same way

First time for me too !!! I had cramping for the first week after I found out but it has gone away. My symptom are very sore boobs and that's about it. Depending on what I eat I get really bad indigestion like pizza or marinara sauce. My doctor is the same she won't see me till 8 weeks either.

First-timer here too!

Not too much in the way of cramping (yet) - mostly sore breasts, achy lower back, and lots of exhaustion.

If I think about it too much, I can really freak myself out. But, I tend to be a little anxious anyways. I'm just trying to stay cool until my appt with the doc on 10/8.

Another first timer here too! I've definitely been having some cramping and sore boobs as well. When I spoke with my doctors office yesterday to make my first appointment they told me cramping was normal.

Awww, yes. Everything you are feeling is normal. I think your body will tell you if something should go wrong. But it wont! I miss that "first time" feeling all these new things. I feel like with my second, it's not a big deal. But enjoy it all!
