I did it... I can't believe it did it! Clicky Poll

I trimmed the twins bangs tonight after their bath.  It was long overdue because it was getting in their eyes, but I loved those messy ends!!  I made DH hold them sitting up on the changing table while trapping their arms so they wouldn't try to grab for the scissors. It worked out pretty good & I am happy with the way it looks. I just can't bring myself to cut the rest!! Not yet. I'm not ready. I love those curls!!

Here is the "After" pic with their newly trimmed bangs!

  • SS.. Boy but still no hair... well we have peach fuzz, so nothing to cut.

I do get asked by random people if I shave LO's head.. nope, this is how he is!

  • Yes I've had Max's hair cut.  I personally like the messy look.  But the back always looked like a rats nest so I thought maybe getting it trimmed up would help....and it has a little.  It was also extremly uneven...and that just kinda bugged me.  His hair will grow out a lot before I'll think it needs trimmed again...

  • haha - my daughter has had TWO haircuts so far -- I regret them both but she literally couldn't see before. Her hair has NO part, it's so weird. it just grows down her face and is so long!!

  • My oldest didn't have her hair cut or trimmed until she was 5. It didn't start growing until 3.

I imagine Avery's will be close to the same.

  • SS - I have a boy, and he doesn't need a haircut yet. He has a good amount of hair, but it's still many inches above his eyes, and only just a tiny bit over his ears.

  • I cut DS3's hair about a month before his bday, it didn't NEED To be done, it was still pretty short, just wanted to make it all even (we used a buzzer).  The girls didn't get their hair cut until almost 2 because they were almost bald until they were 18 months (nothing really to cut)  I let it grow a bit and then just trimmed long pieces here and there until it was long enough to trim everything at once.  I've never "chopped" the girls hair.

Same! There's some fuzzy ends in the back I suppose I could trim, but really he's still pretty darn bald. I was the same way, I'll have to ask my mom when my first haircut was, but I'm pretty sure it was well after age 2.

Ditto this, but she still doesn't have much hair anyway.

  • I voted no, but not because I like the long/messy look, he really doesn't need it cut yet. He could use a tiny trim in the back but the front is no where near his eyes.

  • I like the messy look in babies/toddlers depending on how it grows in, if there are curls, etc...

Liam had a mullet, so something had to be done in July!  My husband just trimmed it up a bit (mostly cutting off the party in the back) but we haven't had to do anything since.

  • SS - there's no option for my son has soooooooo much hair that he's had 6 haircuts already!  It's getting harder and harder to cut it so the next one will be professional, finally!

The top doesn't need it often, but it get's mullet-y in the back, around the ears needs trimming a lot, and the front gets in his eyes.  I could avoid as many cuts by cutting it shorter, but I love it longer!  I mean seriously, how cute is long-ish hair on a little boy?!?!

  • My girl has tons of hair and there is no way I'm cutting it!
  • if we had a boy I would ...
  • I chose "Yes, Boy, I like the clean cut look". But that's not quite true. I trimmed DS's bangs once and he has had 2 professional hair cuts since then. DH and I kind of prefer the mop-top look but it was out of control, in his face/eyes, etc. Luckily, it only stays "clean cut" for about 2 weeks, then it starts to look "messy/cute" again instead of "clean cut/cute" :)

  • I voted no but not because I necessary like the "messy" look but because I just don't have the heart to cut his adorable curls. I terrified that if I cut them they won't grow back :( It's nowhere near his eyes though and I'm able to style it behind his ears.  It does get a little ratty in the back but I bought some detangler and it works great. So no cut yet.

  • A's hair is pretty long.  Everyone asks when I'll cut it.  I just can't bear to do it.
  • Ashurs hair was out of control. He had hardly any hair on top, but super long curls on the side. My neice said once she thought he wanted to be a clown when he grew up!!!!

I cut his hair using MH's clippers and it actually went well. He sat perfectly still and didn't move. I don't know if he was scared or just not sure what was going on, but he looked so cute once it was done. I just cut the sides to remove the clown curls.

  • What!? Some babies have hair!?! No fair :)

  • I said "Yes, I have a Girl & it was out of control!!"  I've only cut her bangs because they were getting in her eyes all the time.

  • DD has just recently started getting a substantial amount of hair where I can clip it back off her face and the clip stays in. It's growing pretty long in front of her eyes, but I want to let it grow out all one length, so I'm trying to resist the urge to cut it yet.

  • My son has the messy long look.  i've already had his bangs cut three times in the last 3 months because his hair grows so fast.   A lot of people say he reminds them of Mason Disick.  Not sure if that's a compliment but I'm taking it as one.

  • I've trimmed her bangs four times now. It keeps growing down in her face and won't stay pinned back. I have a feeling it's going to be just like mine was when I was little. So we're trimming her bangs to keep her from being poked in the eye constantly.

The neighbors have a son who is 6 mos older and they make fun of my LOs lack of haircut. The back is all curly and I'm going to enjoy it while I can!

  • Maya's hair is all over the place, and some parts are much longer than others.  But, I have no plans to cut it anytime soon.  She sports the wild child look, or I tame it a bit with water, a clip, or a rubber band.

  • Such little cuties!!

We actually got C's hair cut on Sunday. It's not that I prefer the "clean cut" look although DH does, but more he had uneven bangs and a duck tail piece in the back. He looks so big now! :

  • We (meaning DH because he is better at these things than me) have cut DD's bangs at least 4-5 times.  We did cut off a rat's tail at 6 months as well.  The rest of her hair looks a bit messy but with some of it being so short I don't think there's much that can be done for it now.  I am planning to take her to the fancy kid hair trimming place at some point before Christmas so she can be more presentable,
