My LO just turned one on Sunday and I still rock her to sleep for naps and bedtime. She is also slepping in our bed. Has anyone else not sleep trained yet? I was going to do it at 6 months and just didn't. Part of me was scared to and I didn't want to do CIO. Now that she is older, I know it's going to be harder. I'm going to do the Ferber method. Time has gone by way too fast and to be honest, I just forget and go on with our daily routine. Anyone else not sleep train yet???

Sleep training doesn't necessarily mean CIO. If you don't feel comfortable with CIO, don't do it. (I am not anti CIO, I just know it's not for everyone) Implementing a really strict schedule worked for us.
Can you slowly teach her to put herself asleep. Do you rock her until she is asleep and then keep rocking her for awhile? I would, if I were you, rock her until she is just asleep and then put her down. Then rock her until she is almost alseep, like seconds before she's totally out, and then put her down. Slowly decrease the time you rock her and eventually she'll be able to do it on her own. (hopefully)
Also, if rocking her to sleep is not a concern for you and works with your routine/family etc. don't feel like you have to change it because it is the norm. What works for one family doesn't work for all. If you don't feel like you need a change it's okay to keep doing what you're doing.
I never sleep trained. I love rocking my DS to sleep. We cuddle, read books, and I rock him for 15-20 minutes. It's so relaxing to me, helps me de-stress after a long day, and gives me a few minutes to just enjoy him in the quiet.
In all the rush of things that happen in the time between I get home from work and he goes to bed, I feel like I don't really get to enjoy him all that much. I love how he instantly relaxes when I lay him against my chest, he sighs, then closes his eyes and smiles. I know that very soon he won't want me to rock him any more so I am soaking up every single minute of it.
