Just texted me to say send him a grocery list so he can grocery shop today. So HE can grocery shop?!!!

 i think it's because of the fiasco last night at the store where my card didn't work and I had to leave all my groceries behind (so embarassing) which was technically his fault as he paid all our bills and didn't put more money into the checking account.

Anyway I'm just going with it, now I must just think of meal ideas!! yay for not having to grocery shop! He'll probably get all the wrong stuff but whatever. Yay happy dance.

    Thats awesome that he volunteered to go!  MH would love to go, but never gets the right stuff or brands or anything.  Im more of a list plus whatever sounds good at the moment gal...and he does bare minimum.  Andplusalso, I feel your pain on the checkout thing, thats happeend to me before too!  I'm sure its happened to many people.

    But I just wanted to say...(because that is awesome for you!)

    sometimes I want to create posts now JUST so I can put gifs in them.

    gifs are awesome.

    yes he'll get probably half what I ask for and a lot of the wrong stuff. Like if I say "organic chicken breast" i may end up with non organic legs. Or something. He often claims they "didn't have it" the rare times he is at the store. Even when they ALWAYS HAVE IT.

    I love to grocery shop. It's usually my alone time. If I send DH with a list he sticks to the list. I use a list but I also get stuff that looks good (like Aggie said).

    But man, that sucks about having to leave your groceries! Hasn't happened to me (knocks on wood) but I can only imagine. I used to carry a credit card with just as a back up but I don't do that anymore..

    I love grocery shopping too, it's always been my favorite activity! I am weird.

    However with working full time and having a baby I am finding it more of a hassle now to fit it in and we more often find ourself in the situation where we have NO fresh food in the fridge. Sad

    Same here! I try to go every Sunday morning. I have been trying to get things that will last for 2 days...We have been bad with food. We are all about what is the quickest and often times that leads to pizza, which I could eat everyday.We didn't eat until almost 8 last night.

    DH went last night because I forgot to pick up milk on my way home.  I didn't give him a whole list, but randomly named off things we need.  He does about half the grocery shopping, and rarely takes a list.  He's awesome though and comes home with stuff I forgot and ideas for meals!  He was just saying last night how proud he is that he can go to the store without requiring a list, like his dad does.  The best is that I can say "go get some fruit" and he'll bring home a whole selection of stuff we like.  He does have an obsession with buying stuff only if it's on sale or we have to have it.  He gets all mopey if the savings % at the bottom is under 25%.
