Yes, I know I'm on 12-24! We tried to get by without spending the money for a video monitor, and were doing find until recently. I suspect my DD is playing quietly in her crib and not napping. We get her up and not too much longer, she seems exhausted! This has happened several times over the last few weeks. I'm glad that she's learned to play independently (this is HUGE for her/us) but she also needs her sleep!
What video monitor do you own, and does it still work well for an older baby/toddler?
Thanks!
Re: Recommend your video monitor
I LOVE my Infant Optics Monitor. I still use it to take a glance at DD...probably will use it for a long time. The other cool thing about it is that it can use batteries OR plug into an outlet. Also, it has a power save mode where the screen will go black but come back on if DD makes some noise and wakes up (you could switch to always watching though and not use the power save too). I guess it goes on sale periodically knocking off $100 too. I caught the sale on time and had an amazon gift card so I barely had to pay anything! Looks like it's on sale now!

No complaints.
We have this one and I love it! We don't use it much except for naps. She ends up in the bed with us at night but works great!
