So tonight I gave T a bottle that was 75/25 formula and WCM respectively. She didn't finish all of it, and normally [with formula] I would put it in the fridge, fill it back up and reheat one other time. Question: can WCM be heated, cooled, then reheated? She has like a good 5 ounces left and i hate to waste it [ the formula aspect of it anyways]

Re: Milk Question
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
I tried to give it to her cold. She wont take either formula or WCM cold.
And I should clarify she left that much because she had four shots today at her one year apt. She always loses appetite when she gets shots. I am working on trying to drop a bottle [she's still on four a day]. I will just throw it away. But I hope she starts taking it cold soon. Otherwise...this crap is going to get hard.
This is always what i have heard.
I always brought DS's bottles to daycare premade and put them in their fridge and they would just heat them up when it was time to feed them... and i was not the only parent who did this.
towards the end, i started just giving it to him cold to get him used to WCM and he took to it fine.
we switched him cold turkey to WCM after he just finished his last tub of formula and he's taken to it really well. His first birthday isn't until tomorrow, but he's been off formula since the 4th.
I always premade the bottles for daycare, kept then in the fridge, until it was time for him to eat. She used to warm them up but knowing that he would be switching to milk and it should be cold so it doesn't spoil or curdle we started giving his formula to him colder and colder till be could give it to him directly out of the fridge with no problems.
So far LO has no problem drinking his WCM cold.
THis is what my pedi recommended when we switched from soy to dairy formula. it worked well. And to help adjust to the coldness I would serve the WCM cold and the formula room temperature. That way every couple days it is gradually getting colder. Then when she is 100% WCM she will be used to the cold drink.
This is great advice, thanks! So, last night is going to be the last night I
heated up formula for her. When doing what panda said, I should be doing this with every bottle? Or should I start with the bottle I want to get rid of first?
I would start with the next bottle. And keep the formula room temperatute when you mix the bottle for her. We always kept bottled water on the counter to make it easier.
