I haven't posted in awhile, and I just wanted to say hi. A lot of you have heard but for those that haven't, DH and I welcomed a puppy into our family last month. He's super awesome, but he's exhausting.
I received an unexpected promotion at work last month as well. In addition to training for my new duties, I'm in the process of training my replacement. I am busy from 8 to 5, with little time to breathe. I can't wait until I feel settled again.
My brother was out to visit last week, so my evenings were spent hanging out with him which was so much fun. Now DH's family will be here on Saturday, so I still won't have time to myself. I am excited to see them, though. Just busy.
Because we got the puppy, we decided to freshen up our yard. In the past month, we weeded and dug up old trees, laid dirt and then sod, AND built a new deck. All that mostly by ourselves and a couple of our friends.
I'm not sure how I'm still keeping up on the house. I barely squeezed in a pedicure last Friday. Oh, I just had a moment to balance our checkbook after a month's worth of transactions. That sucked. I am spent.
I'm hoping October looks better. We shall see. Sending you ladies lots of love. Even if I'm not posting as much, you are never far from my thoughts.

Many congrats on the promotion! Ahhh, life with a puppy...even though it's been almost 6 years for me, I remember it well. While I do miss some aspects of puppyhood, but it was really nice once she settled down a bit -- best of luck! So glad that you've been keeping busy and I hope that it has helped some. Sending many good thoughts your way!
