I know this is asked frequently but people I work with have been asking me how many months I am now. I know the weeks to months are different during pregnancy. When I research it i've been getting a lot of different answers. So does anyone know what weeks are what months and what months are the trimesters?
Re: weeks to months
Generally the third trimester starts around week 27, though on here week 27 is still under the 2nd Tri. If you want to get really technical and do the math:
40 weeks/9 months = 4.44 weeks per month x 6 months = 26.64 weeks until the third tri.
To keep it simple, just use your due date. Mine is 12/10 so my third tri started 9/10.
DD 12/20/99, DS 12/14/12, M/C 9/2014, M/C 1/2015
I was just asking because they all want to know how many months are left. I tell them Im 23 weeks. but she was like you're like four months right? I said no, I think it's five & a half.
but I read somewhere 23 weeks is the first week of the 6th month. I'm just confused a little lol.
Just count backwards from your January 6th due date. On that day you are 9 months pregnant so right now you are just over 5 months pregnant.
23 weeks is not 5.5 months. It's more like just five months. Take your due date and count backwards by months. Dividing by four (weeks) would have your pregnancy lasting for ten months which is incorrect...one month is not exactly four weeks.
I just go off the weeks and give lots of room between tri's
for instance: I'm 23 weeks, this week I'll be 24. People always say oh you're six months then. Well, no, not quite.
I waited to say I was in my second tri til I was about 17 weeks I think?
Generally I just stick to weeks or say I'm 5 months lol
I'm due on November 30th, so on September 30th I will be 7 months pregnant... On October 30th I will be 8 months pregnant... I'm pretty sure this is the easiest way to count. I was doing something crazy with weeks until recently. Didn't make much sense, and it made the whole "10 Month Pregnancy" thing seem legit, which it isn't.
