Pregnant after 35

Ack! Only 7 weeks and my belly's already poking out?!

Hi ladies,

I've notice that I'm looking a little more poochy already.  Confirmed this with DH when I asked him if I looked a little extra poochy, and he said "maybe a little...".  Ack!  I've heard that you show sooner with second babies, but isn't this a little ridiculous??  Am I going to end up bigger than before?

On the positive side, it's good in a way since it means the baby must be growing.  I have my first ultrasound next week so we'll see then.

  • Congrats on your pregnancy!

I called it my blump. Maybe it isn't your uterus poking out, but it is due to the pregnancy is the way I figured it, so be proud of it. I'm showing a bit now, and I know that most of what is showing is actually probably organs pushed out of the way. Who cares?! It is because I am doing my best to make a baby, so I love it.

  • DH and I noticed my little pooch last night too. Definitely not bloat, because its hard. I guess its true what they say that you show sooner with #2. We plan to tell our immediate families about this pregnancy this weekend, however we wanted to hold off in telling everyone else until after 12 weeks. But with my little pooch starting to show and all my trips to the bathroom due to m/s, I don't know how much longer we can hide it. Not complaining though. This all just means baby is healthy and growing.

Glad I'm not alone here.  :)  I've only told a couple of close friends about the pregnancy.  We haven't told any family members yet.  I've had a miscarriage before so I prefer to wait until I at least have the viability ultrasound to tell everyone.  I may have to tell my parents though, they're visiting this weekend and they will wonder why I'm not drinking wine, and have no energy lol.

  • I was definitely showing by 7 weeks for #2.  I was very surprised.  However, I kept telling myself it's because I'm small.  But it probably wasn't that.  Anyhow, I busted out the pregnancy clothes ASAP.  LOL

  • I have something not a bump, maybe some bloat I don't know what to call it. My tight jeans are too tight and I only have a few bigger looser pants but they are all summery and soon to be out of season so I pulled out the mat clothes I worry that will be my give away.

Well, I'm 5'10", so it probably wasn't because you're small lol.  So far, my "bump" looks more like a bloated belly, so it's not obvious to anyone who doesn't pay very close attention to what my normal belly looks like.  Even Dh would not have noticed had I not said something, I think.  I have some maternity pants ready to go should I be needing them in the next few weeks.  I really hope this means baby is doing OK!

Yeah, I would call mine more of a bloat too.  Not really a bump yet.  Just the belly looking a little rounder than usual lol.
