The only productive thing we have done! Since we haven't moved into our new place yet (which is actually stil TBD..) it's still hanging out in SIL's garage. But we made him a toy box! BIL built it for us, and we painted it white and navy and stained the lid to match his crib We still have to go over the lines because the paint bled a little past the tape, but it will be perfect when it's all finished!
I just went to the store yesterday to get the supplies I needed for my new projects.
1 Minky Blanket
2 Nursing Covers
Wetbags
I only did one nursing cover yesterday and I don't have a picture of it, but I do have pictures of some of the other stuff I've done so far. Let's see..
Re-upholstered glider.
Handmade baby shoes.
And the embroidery hoop artwork surrounding this name.
I have some muslin I dip-dyed ombre style that I need to hem on the edges too. I don't have any good pictures of it though.

Everyone is making such cute stuff! Here's the mobile I made him:
Here's a dresser we redid, and some paintings that my mom did (she's an art teacher, so some of this was kind of her, "What I did on my summer vacation," ha!):
Here's his room overall:
And that's another painting my mom did.
And I hope the pictures aren't ridiculously massive. It cut off part of his room. Blah, I kinda hate how PIP works on The Bump!
Wicked cute!! Love the paintings- great job! How did you do these?
For the paintings, I typed up the words and pictures that I wanted on the canvasas and sized them on the canvas. Then I found some paper at Hobby Lobby that has chalk on the back and traced the words and pictures on the canvas. From there, I just filled in with the acrylic paint. The yellow was really light and I could see the chalk lines through it, so I ended up having to outline everything in black.
Haven't hung these up yet - just finished them last night. She's sharing a room with Abby, so I have to move some things around to free up enough wall space for a 9-letter name!

My first ever minky blanket.. I think it came out nice. I think my own issue is I used duck cotton instead of a softer material, which makes it stiffer.

I made one of those too! That damn material pulls like no other! I ended up lopsided and had to rip some of seams out and start over. It was a tear filled, stress filled night. I know where I went wrong though, and it's finished now so it's okay.

Edit: screw you TB!
Anyway, yes! I ended up youtubing it beforehand just in case, since I had never used minky before.. and they suggested pinning the heck out of it. I think I used like 100 pins, every 1/2 inch or so, and it stayed tacked to the other fabric luckily. I found I've had more problems with vinyl, but that shet is just slippery.
Glad your blanket worked out.. they're SO soft. Love.

I LOVE the "You are my sunshine" paintings, and now I kinda wish I'd wrapped his mobile hoop with ribbon!
I think I will hang these birds above the crib:
I'll either hang these decorated wood letters on the wall or maybe put them on a shelf:
We will also be painting a dresser, but we haven't got that far yet
Wetbags for my diaper bag.
