hey ladies, just looking for some feedback. I have a friend who is due in a few months, having a girl and already has 2 boys. I am currently ttc, so i know a lot of the things we buy/have bought will be passed down, especially since we have a good amount of gender neutral items since we didn't know the gender. I think that some stuff can be saved, but newborn things will still be bought when the time comes (we look at newborn things now and can hardly resist the cuteness)
D feels sentimentally attached and wants to keep pretty much everything. so heres the question - would you say 100% of the stuff came in handy, plus new things, or when the time came did you pull out the trunk and decide to give half of it away anyway?
thanks!
Re: handmedowns and siblings
Its going to depend on a lot of things...if your babies are the same season, size, gender, ect.
We got lucky and have 2 girls exactly 1 year apart - we re-used everything and hardly had to buy a single thing for our youngest (aside from the couldnt-resist-cuteness stuff
)
But i would definitely hold onto everything just in case.

We got almost all of our clothes from other people, so I'm kind of splitting the difference - I keep everything except for the stuff I never liked/used with these babies. If we'd bought everything, I'd save everything (since I would presumably like it all).
If we end up not having any more, I will go through it again and only save my favorite sentimental pieces as keepsakes.
We kept everything with the idea that we would jsut get rid of everything that would not fit/wrong gender/wrong season/etc once we knew. I am sure we would have purchased some new irresistable cuteness even if the entire wardrobe would have worked all over again.
