XP: what is appropriate?

I posted this on the toddler board as well
An aquaintance whom I met at a post natal class after my DS was born just lost her baby at 33 weeks pg. I haven't seen her since december and only keep in touch with her infrequently on Facebook.
There has been a fb group started asking for donations to help pay for the funeral service for the baby. I don't entirely agree with this but I'm just wondering what you think an appropriate amount would be if I do donate?

give whatever you are comfortable with.
When my friend delivered her babe at 24w and she passed, the funeral home did the services for no cost and I believe the cemetery plot was also free.nbsp; I think they could have paid for upgrades though.

This is why I feel uncomfortable about the whole thing. My mom's coworker also lost her baby at 35 weeks and the funeral home did everything for no charge....

  • This is so sad.

We delivered our only boy at 24 weeks and we had to pay for everything. It was actually really expenisive.  My parents and my H's parents split most of the cost because it was really expenisive and they all said they didn't know how else to help.

I would give what ever you feel comfortable giving.
