Had our first ultrasound and we didn't get the news we were expecting. Ultrasound showed that I was measuring 6w1d where I should be more like 8w1d. The tech had a hard time finding the heartbeat (which she said was normal for how far along I am showing) but there was a heartbeat.
My doctor didn't seem worried. Said there is a baby with a heartbeat and not to worry...but I am pretty positive on my dates. So I'm a worried.
I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks to see what is going on and if the baby is growing. So now it's a long waiting game.
Positive thoughts would be very much appreciated!

I had something similar happen with my first. I knew I was 7w2d based on ovulation but the baby only measured 6w1d at my dating scan. I was freaked out because I knew I couldn't be a whole week behind. I went in for a rescan the next week (supposed to be 8w2d) and the baby measured at 8w2d! It could have been the doc's measurements were off or the kid just caught up. He always measured pretty spot on after that.
Like PPs, keep thinking positive and I have my FX for you.

I had the same thing with my U/S Monday. Should've been 8w1d, but measured 6w5d. Heartbeat was strong though, so dr. said there's no reason to freak out. I decided to believe her and I've got another U/S scheduled for a week from Monday.
Good luck to both of us! Stay strong, babies!
I wouldn't worry unless it was still measuring 3-4weeks earlier than it should be, because that's more significant.
I feel like fetuses should have growth curves, too, just like children. Not everyone has the same size baby at the end, so wouldn't it make sense that it would grow at slightly different rates right from the get-go? I know my LMP, and I KNOW I O'd early because it's the only time we did the deed that week, I couldn't have conceived any other time except that one day. So technically I should be measuring a few days AHEAD, but she measured me a week behind yet still kept the EDD according to my LMP until I'm further along and they can I guess see the development a little better.
