My LO has always been less than 50% in weight and typically can wear smaller sizes longer. She's almost 9 months and she can still fit 6 months clothes, except for length. Her 9-month check-up is coming up next week, but I've started getting anxious that she is too small. (She weighs around 18.5 lbs.) Probably just FTM worries. ;-)
Just curious how many other LO's can still wear clothes sized for younger months...

I just packed up all of DS's 0-3 / 3 month clothes. He's fitting perfectly into his 3-6 / 6 month clothes now. I pulled out a 9 month sleeper over the weekend when I got behind in laundry and it's big, but it worked for the night!
DS weighs 13 lb 10 oz so I know he's small. He's in the 1st percentile
Don't get worried, if she has always been about 50% in weight, she is probably going to continue that trend for a while.
The third time was the charm!

My guy isn't little - he's a big boy (24lbs at 9 months) but my daughter was a tiny peanut. She is only 27lbs right now at 2+ years. I think she was only 18lbs at her year appt. I wouldn't worry about it. I know easier said than done, but I'm sure she is perfectly healthy.
Us too! We're now in 18 month clothes as well. Kind of crazy but it's what fits.
Fastest year of my life.
My daughter had her 9 month check up last week and was just over 18 pounds (about 40%). She can still wear 6 month shorts, but onesies aren't long enough. I'm pretty sure pants wouldn't be long enough either. Stop worrying. Your daughter isn't too small. She's right around average in weight.
My oldest daughter was more like a 10-20% (weight) baby. I worried about her size a lot, but I really shouldn't have. She was growing and thriving. She was just not a chubby baby, and she's a tall and thin toddler. I don't worry about it anymore. That's just how she is. I don't worry about DD2s weight at all. She seems average/normal to me.
We're a tiny peanut as well. I have our 9 month visit this Friday - but at his 6 month he was only 12 lbs. So I'm going to guess we're 17 or 18... We're still perfectly fine in 6 month clothes - the 6 month pants are way too short on him - but the 9 month pants are too big in the waist. I just chalk up that we're already in the 'awkward' size kid clothes...
I just make sure that my DC is giving me specifics on what/when he eats... so I have a piece of mind that he's getting what he needs.
DD isn't particularly small, but she does still fit in many of her 6 month clothes. In fact, most of her 9 month clothes are still too big for her. I just took DD to her 9 month check up yesterday and she's 19.2 pounds and perfectly healthy and even looks a little chunky still. If you're baby's around 18.5, I would think she's right where she needs to be!
Don't worry!
BTW, when I was pregnant, I bought her a fleece outfit size 3 months, and she's just now able to fit into that in the dead of summer at 9 months old! I think the sizing on that one was WAY off. I agree with some of the other moms on here about the sizing not being very accurate sometimes.
This. Someone has to be in the lower, someone has to be in the upper. DS just had his 9 month and was 16 lbs 13 oz which is about 4th percentile. He's mostly in 3 months clothes and some 6 months.
