Beta #1 is in; there will be no beta #2 ;)

So after my POAS meltdown, I convinced my obgyn to do betas. I went in yesterday, which is @27DPO as I ovulated on day 21 and the results were 30,000!

I asked if they would do another this week and they said no lol.

They said I could come in for an ultrasound early but I said no way as I came in last time when the HB started and it was low at 91 BPM and by the next ultrasound it was gone (10 days later). 

I feel good but I'd feel better if they'd let me do another beta this week ;)

    That's great that you have a good number!  Congrats! 

    I think that betas matter less the further along you get, and you're at the point where you can see things on the u/s. 

    Also -- I totally understand not wanting an early u/s.  I'm not having one either.

    Thanks. Because of my first loss I wanted to be able to tell from the betas how things are progressing as opposed to seeing it stark on the screen at 9 weeks. I actually think I'm going to cover my eyes at first at the US and ask them to tell me the HB before I look ;)

    I'm hoping you have a happy and healthy 9 (ish) months ahead. Thanks for starting the TTCAL check in ;)
