What size shoe? CP

C's feet seem to have gone through a major growth spurt the last month. She was fine in the 6-12 mo pedipeds for a long long time and now I can't even get her foot in there and the one pair of 12-18 mo we have are looking a little snug!

I have no idea what size their feet should be so I figured I'd do a poll.

She can fit into her size 5 shoes but her toes are very close to the end of the shoe. I measured with stride rite's shoe size download chart and it told me a size 7! But when I got her a pair, they are way too big. So I think she's probably a size 6.

My DS wears a 4.5 wide. I would highly recommend going to a Stride Rite and having LO's feet measured before you buy any shoes so that you know exactly what to get.

We just had her measured at Stride Rite last week and although she measured a size 5, they told us to buy a size 5.5 to have a little wiggle room and room for socks. She's been at around the 95th percentile for height ever since she was born, so she probably has a little larger feet than average.

Maya was in a 2, but her sandals got too small so I got her some 3's. She just put her size 2 sneakers back on yesterday for the first time in a while and they fit ok, but I think we are going to need to buy some 3's by the end of the month. So, I voted size 3.

DD is still in a size 2, but by the time we switch to winter shoes, I think she will be in a 3. She was a preemie and is still on the small size in general. Plus her mom and dad aren't very tall to begin with

I voted 5 but at Stride Rite they told us to get 5.5. The pedipeds I got her are large, 18-24 months I guess?

Her feet are long, especially because she's a peanut (10th percentile). They are super narrow though so the only way her shoes fit is if she wears socks.

Callie is wearing between a 2 and 3. Her size two sandals are starting to get snug, her size 3 sneakers still have a little room. She'll probably be out of 2's any time now for good. She has mini feet.

I feel the same way. In the past month, DD's feet have gone through such a growth spurt. She was a 4 at the beginning of the summer. And she's been in a size 5 for about a month, and they're already very snug. I thought I would have longer in 5s. I have to go buy some 6s. DD is in the 98th percentile for length, so I don't know if that anything to do with it. I can't imagine her still wearing the size 2s!

He measured at just about 5 on the right and slightly smaller on the left. Stride Rite recommended getting 5.5s. We just have a pair of size 5 converse which fit well, with a little room to grow, but will probably get a pair of 5.5 sneakers soon.

I'm honestly not sure! She mostly wears pedipeds and the 6-12mo still have room. The 6-9 See Kai Runs are getting tight with socks, but still fit great without.

She has a pair of size 3 converse that fit great, and a pair of Nike's that are size 4 that fit with wiggle room. So...3 probably?

His 4s are a little snug, so we just moved him up to size 5. He's got long, skinny feet like his mama!

Ditto this. Also, as another pp said, DS measured as a 4 extra wide but it was recommended that we get him 4.5's (Stride Rite) and they fit perfectly. That was 3 months ago and those are getting a bit snug. I got some 5.5 extra wide Stride Rite's off Baby Steals so those are ready to go when the 4.5's are done.

This is the real reason I love SR so much! LO measures for 5xw - so to get his fat feet in any shoes I need to check sizes closely!

I went today and got her measured. They said 5 so we got 5.5. I can't believe I just dropped $40 on kids shoes that she is going to outgrow in 3 months. ::sigh::

6 WIDE, I might add!

At the shoe store, the salesperson said most toddlers start out measuring wide. When I said MH & I both have wide feet, she said "Then I find they usually stay that way!"
